Moral Cents: Call for Papers

Seven Pillars Institute for Global Finance and Ethics is soliciting papers for the inaugural issue of Moral Cents: The Journal of Ethics in Finance. The Journal is the Institute’s biannual online publication.

Seven Pillars Institute is an independent, non-partisan, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to highlight and analyze issues of moral philosophy in global financial markets with a view to enhancing ethical practice and policy.  The Institute opened in 2010 and received its 501(c)(3) status in March 2011.

The Journal welcomes submissions from practitioners, academics, policy?makers, analysts, and graduate students from around the world. The Journal especially encourages submissions from those who work in philosophy, finance, law, and economics. Submissions should focus on ethical issues in global finance, with finance being broadly defined to encompass the private (corporate and investments related), public (government at all levels), and international spheres. Submissions and articles on finance ethics in countries other than the U.S., including Islamic countries, also are encouraged.

The Journal invites submissions that are perspective or research pieces, although jargon, abstruse terms, and complex math and statistics are strongly discouraged.

The deadline for submission is end November. The article can be anywhere from 1000-5000 words in length, although longer pieces will be considered. Please submit manuscripts to: kara@sevenpillarsinstitute.srv6.devplace.us

For further information on article submissions please go to Journal and Journal Guidelines.

Please forward this call for papers to other potential authors.
